JHCO, Swiss Barakah Implement Humanitarian Projects in Jordan, Lebanon

Amman, July 20 (Petra) --The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in partnership with Swiss Barakah Charity, is carrying out a range of humanitarian and development initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable groups, including relief assistance for Lebanon, hearing support for underprivileged Jordanian families, and improvements to school facilities.

According to a JHCO statement issued Monday, Swiss Barakah contributed humanitarian donations that were included in aid convoys sent by the organization to Lebanon as part of Jordan’s ongoing support efforts. The assistance was delivered through 32 trucks carrying relief and food supplies to help meet essential needs and reduce the challenges faced by affected communities.

As part of the partnership’s activities in Jordan, hearing aids were provided to 70 beneficiaries from underprivileged families in Amman and Ma’an, helping them improve communication abilities and participate more independently in their daily lives.

The cooperation also covered the renovation and maintenance of the library at Al-Sawaniyah Basic Mixed School in Balqa Governorate, with the aim of creating a more supportive learning environment and improving students’ access to educational resources.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Al-Shibli said the ongoing cooperation with Swiss Barakah reflects the role of humanitarian partnerships in addressing immediate needs while supporting long-term development efforts for individuals and communities.

He added that the variety of projects, spanning emergency relief, healthcare support, and education, demonstrates the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure assistance reaches beneficiaries and contributes to improving their quality of life while preserving their dignity.

The JHCO continues to expand its local and international partnerships and implement humanitarian and development programs based on identified needs and priorities, supporting vulnerable communities in Jordan and abroad.
